We are back from Europe and ready to hike the Appalachia -- oh wait.. we mean the Santa Monica Mountains! We recently stumbled upon an account of a guy who hiked Sandstone Peak
Well.... Now we need a bench for the patio. Don't laugh at us... because we really do need it.
We have a plan though - DIY BUILD!
We're feeling freaky fresh after our coffee table build and now we want to make a super cool bench. Hop in the car because we're going to buy wood! Schematics wise, there's not to much sketched out. We know the dimensions and have a general vision.
We're sensing a recurring theme in our lives. We need something, but we don't want to spend a single dollar on it. Why does this happen? Is it because we're cheap? Nah.. well kind of... More so, we think it's PTSD from living in NYC where we spend 5 years tossing money left and right. If you love love love seeing money disappear, move to Manhattan.

Not sure if you remember our empty corner of our kitchen but we've been staring at it for a couple months and hate it. So...naturally being the busy beavers we are... we're sprucing it up a bit! We have some guests staying with us in the next couple weeks so we thought... "what to we need right now," and it was a unanimous COFFEE NOOK response. Ok, we weren't calling a coffee nook until right now, but now that it's done we've decided that is exactly what it is.
What the Hell Life! Or, really what the hell Los Angeles!? We just got here and you're already closing our favorite Hiking spot, Runyon Canyon?! We're on to you LA. We're on to you.
We've been in Los Angeles for a month and we're already acting like we're running out of space for our things. Ok, but in seriousness, we kind of are. Plus our room has been feeling a little barren without a dresser in which to put things. Side note: neither of us have had a dresser since high school but nevertheless we digress - we need one now.
Ok. We haven't delved into this yet - but we've been super frustrated with the lack of our ability to go to the beach with Xander! Dear Angelinos - Get over yourselves and your people only beaches!
Nestled above Beverly Hills, we found a short lil hike in Franklin Canyon Park. We're a little lazy when it comes to hiking, so we haven't quite graduated to miles and miles + of trails and we certainly have no such things as hiking boots or walking sticks. Call us frivolous with our lives, but nothing we're doing here is that crazy.

Ok, So here's where we're at.
We moved - are moving - are homeless, we're living in a hotel with our dog trying to find an apartment while Cristian is working full time.
Here we are. The day after our farewell shebang. Crying in a corner after craigslist fiends so recklessly purchased all of our furniture when we only listed our couch for sale (but bless them because we had to eventually sell everything before our official Jan 10 MOVING DATE!
We're Here!! We're Queer!! Happy New Yeaaaar!!!... While tomorrow is our big going away shindig, We've spent the past week getting a head start on visiting our go-to haunches in NYC.
It's been a week, and we're still reeling from our Investigative Journalism Explorative Revealing Trip to Los Angeles. While it's very official that we're Moving -- the location is up in the air. Of course, this all becomes finalized when it comes down to actual apartment hunting, but we're pretty dead set on WeHo.
We're in the THICK of neighborhood hunting. Ok, we know, that sounds like the absolute most privileged thing that has ever come out of our mouths - but it's true. We're trying to figure out what neighborhood will work best for us, "I refuse to walk more that a block for a coffee shop," New Yorkers. We have a couple months before moving out, so we're here on a sort of recon mission.
Training Xander has been so rewarding and everything, but then we also saw a JetBlue getaway deal to Turks and Caicos and next thing we knew we were booking an Airbnb. "How could you do this to Xander?" You're probably thinking... He's actually staying with his favorite person KT, who we're pretty sure he likes more than us.... So, a vacation for all of us.
