We Bought A 24 Year Old Jeep
So unfortunately the time has passed on Cristian's parent's gracious offer to use his sister's car while she was studying abroad. Aka, she was coming back to LA for school in 1 month and needed it back!
Seeing as we're still constantly called out for being "So East Coast" we really felt the need to commit to our SoCal lives. Thus enters the Jeep Wrangler. Classic in it's appearance. Dangerous in it's utter lack of airbags (don't tell Moms). And the daily opportunity to feel super cool driving a manual car through LA Traffic. Well, check back on that re: stick shift - traffic LA.
We digress. Everyone in Southern California apparently also wants a 94 Jeep Wrangler. We were searching for weeks, test driving cars that would later that evening be sold in cash. At one point, we even considered driving 5 hours to Nevada to buy a Jeep and drive it back (WHAT?) But we really wanted a Jeep. Now it became a challenge we had to rise above!
All and all, we found one. It was pre-1995 (super important... because square headlights), a color that we could accept as our own, and under 125k miles.
The seller was a smoker tho - so... not cool, but after Corey literally gutted/deep cleaned the car, I think we mutually agreed the smell was gone.
Also, We definitely waited 0 days to install a bluetooth receiver and hands free phone.
Check out the new Whip:
(We washed the jeep - Oh no how dare we... No, literally the seller was like "WHY DID YOU DO THAT")
