Ok, Getting A Little DIY Crazed
Well.... Now we need a bench for the patio. Don't laugh at us... because we really do need it.
We have a plan though - DIY BUILD!
We're feeling freaky fresh after our coffee table build and now we want to make a super cool bench. Hop in the car because we're going to buy wood! Schematics wise, there's not to much sketched out. We know the dimensions and have a general vision.
We're pretty sure the guy at Lowe's hated us when we told him all the cuts we wanted.
We're basically going to make a simple platform bench with armrests, a back support beam and lil moveable chaise section. We ended up springing for the California Redwood because it is more sustainable, etc. etc. etc. So this is a 'green' bench.
So far So good. We borrowed our neighbor's power drill (surprisingly we don't already have one) and first made a little platform that we connected to legs. Unfortunately the wood keeps cracking which probably means we're doing something wrong but... we're pushing through.
TADAAAAH. And there you have it. A bench that we now need to sand and stain. Luckily we have all the materials left over from our Tarva Dresser Hack! Forgive our staging... Corey was convinced the dead grass looked cool (we've since taken it down)
