WE NEED A DRESSER
We've been in Los Angeles for a month and we're already acting like we're running out of space for our things. Ok, but in seriousness, we kind of are. Plus our room has been feeling a little barren without a dresser in which to put things. Side note: neither of us have had a dresser since high school but nevertheless we digress - we need one now.
Research time: WTF, WTH... why are nice dressers so expensive?
No. No no no no.
Research time: Bank account $0. Cheap Dressers... ugly. We decided to seek out the worst and make it the best. Soon we found the ugliest and cheapest options of them all. The Tarva 6-Drawer Dresser from Ikea. But wait, we have have some left over, knock off, Benjamin Moore Paint. Sorry, too much hyperlinking. But the point we're getting at is - Let's make a knock off. We already have the knock-off paint.... why not a dresser too.
Step 1. Buy the Tarva 6 - Drawer Dresser from Ikea for $179
Step 2. Buy some various other things.
- Dark wood stain (we chose special Walnut)
- White paint (if you don't have it)
- Paint Brushes (if you don't have them)
- A lot of wine
Step 3. Assemble some of the tarva while drinking wine (ok, optional, but highly encouraged)
Step 4. Paint the main frame white and google how to stain wood.
Step 5. Let everything dry. Go to Goodwill for trinkets and Asseeeeemble!
Optional Step: BUY A PET FISHIE
