Sweaty In Savannah
It’s Memorial Day weekend and this year that means a cabin in the marshlands near Savannah, Georgia!
So excited because the cabin we have has air conditioning and also we’ve never been to Savannah (yes, in that order!). One thing we weren’t excited about though was missing out on our new exercise regimen :/ Why is it so hard to work out when you’re visiting the fam?? Or is that just us?
Screenshot from the timelapse... sorry it's a blurry!
Well we were #blessed on this trip because the state park actually has outdoor fitness machines! So since our latest workout routine has focused on circuit training, we thought we’d share what we came up with! We copied the structure of our new gym, Training Mate, and did 3 stations each comprised of 3 exercises. You do each station three times and then move on to the next. And you only do each exercise for 45 seconds with 15 seconds between exercises.
Station 1:
Exercise 1: Lunges
Exercise 2: Tricep dips
Exercise 3: High jumps + Pulsing squats
Station 2:
Exercise 1: Rowing machine
Exercise 2: Counting burpees
Exercise 3: Chest press
Station 3:
Exercise 1: Roller skaters
Exercise 2: Lat raises
Exercise 3: Jumping jacks + plank
Combine this killer circuit with the right Spotify playlist and this awesome app for interval training called Intervals – Workout Interval Timer by FourthFrame Technologies.
Would love to hear from you on what you do to stay fit when you’re traveling! We loved the circuit training so much, we managed to get in two of these workouts over our trip!
